WHAT'S HIDDEN IN YOUR NAME?..

A REFLECTION  UPON  THE  RELATIONSHIP OF A NAME
              AND ITS BEARER.

   Getting blisters on  the  palms
from  the  hilts of swords and axes
and getting to the depths of Middle
-earth's history some (if not many)
participants  of  the  HG  get   so
involved  in  their  roles that use
their "game names"  more  willingly
that their Christian names.  It may
seem that it  doesn't  matter.  One
can   have   a  lot  of  nicknames,
especially  if   this   person   is
young...
But let  us  remember  that the
rite of name-giving is performed by
those  who  have the right to do so
(parents,  teachers,  rulers).  The
time for such an important event is
chosen according to  the  positions
of  the Moon and stars.  For a name
not only  defines  its  bearer  but
also  constantly  influences him or
her.
   Alas, it    seems    that   the
participants of HG,  gladly excited
by getting their new names, did not
have  enough  time  to  think.  The
names  were chosen according to the
analogies from Tolkien (in the best
case),  or  simply  "from the air".
The nice air  of  Middle-Earth  has
played  a cruel trick by pinning an
unsiutable  name  into  an  unlacky
person   and   it  this  uncautious
person       replaces       his/her
"traditional"  name  wiht the "game
name" in daily contacts  -  there's
trouble   ahead.  A  new  name  can
change one's life so  suddenly that
it  may  seem  a magical attack has
taken  place   -   so   sharp   and
unpleasant the changes are.
   I'd allow myself  to  recommend
to  my  colleagues  some  practical
means that,  in  my  opinion,  will
help   to  harmonize  our  life  in
Middle-earth.
The time of the growing moon is
the most propitious moment  for the
name-giving.  When  choosing a name
one should keep in  mind  that  the
cabalistic     and    numerological
meaning of a name being transcribed
from English-Middle-earth languages
to    Russian-Middle-earth     ones
changes.
I want  to  remind  Kazad  folk
separately  that Dwarves kept their
real names a deep secret  and  used
daily   names   borrowed  from  the
common tongue.
   In especially grave cases where
the new name prevails so  much that
its bearer is carried far, far away
with the game it is  rather  useful
to  call  the  victim  with his/her
mother's name (ie with the name his
/her mama calls him/her).  The same
way is very effective  where  there
is  a  problem  with getting out of
deep meditation.
   The mother's   name,   friendly
uttered  will  help  a  person   to
readapt  his/her astral body inside
his/her physical body.
